Learning from Home....

J2e platform

Here at Perton First School, we thrive on making learning accessible to all children. We are ensuring that we are able to offer learning opportunities that are closely matched to those that would take place in the classroom, through our learning platform. This maximises opportunities for all children to learn and work can be set online for your child to work on at home, should your child need to self-isolate or in the event of a year group bubble needing to isolate at home. It is a useful link for us to have with parents/carers and enables us to work together as much as we can.

We thrive on the positive communication and relationships that we have with parents and carers in our school. We value the importance of supporting each other to promote children's well being and are always here to support you. We also now have Marvellous me to enhance this.  We can celebrate successes, share messages, send reminders and  also photographs of your children at work. You will receive a personal log in to access this fantastic resource.

Throughout every term we will be linking a 'word of the week' to build our vocabulary and this  will help us to develop key language that we have can use in our discussions and develop our communication skills even further. It has proven effective last year and  so we will be continuing with this beneficial aspect of our learning. In addition to this we are now using 'Talk for Colour' this is a visual resource that assists us in our Literacy skills and understanding of questions, which in turn will help us with our writing.
